This month marked International Day of Families on 15 May which got us thinking… what are our most popular family-friendly rides and attractions here at Aussie World?
We’re talking about the Aussie World rides that offer UNREAL experiences for guests of all ages. The ones that spin a little more gently and take a slower pace so that families can ride together.
These family-friendly rides and attractions are unique and unlike any other attractions on the Sunshine Coast that can be enjoyed by everyone in the family.
1. Bug Run
Starting off with one of Aussie World’s rollercoasters, the Bug Run is a gentle roller coaster which has been designed to accommodate little ones and their parents. The colourful bug-themed cars in the shape of a giant caterpillar glide along fun twists and gentle turns. This is the perfect ride for a child's first coaster experience!
2. Ballroom Blitz
Perhaps Aussie World’s most iconic attraction, this spinning chair ride is a spectacular experience that transports you into a vibrant ballroom setting. Step into a spinning dance of thrills as your family boards colourful cars that whirl around at a gentle speed combining music, movement, and fun for all ages.
3. Professor Bogglesworth’s Illusionarium
Step into a world of mind-bending illusions, magical displays, and interactive exhibits designed to amaze and delight both children and adults. Work your way together through a fascinating maze of dimensions filled with lights, sound and mirrors. Navigate around obstacles and challenge your perception as you enter different rooms throughout the attraction.
4. Platypus Ponds Mini Golf
Who doesn’t love a game of mini golf to get the family rivalry going? This fun-filled putt-putt course travels through themed holes surrounded by playful platypus sculptures and water features. It is accessible for all ages and skill levels making it a perfect family challenge.
5. The Plunge
Aussie World’s splash-tastic water ride is an adventure the whole family will enjoy. Brace yourself as your log slowly glides uphill and around the watery track which leads to a steep drop that ends in a cascade of water at the bottom. Especially great during the warmer months, The Plunge gives you a thrill while you cool off.
