Financial Accountant

Reporting directly to the COO you will be responsible for providing administrative, strategic planning and operational support to management on financial, physical, administrative and staff resources. Whilst the primary focus is the accurate production and incisive analysis of financial and commercial information, this role requires a broader “hands on” proactive leadership and management approach in achieving improved performance for all aspects of Aussie World’s valued assets. 

At the operational level you will prepare accurate and timely monthly financial management and forecasting reports; manage the payroll function; compile annual budgets; manage IT, purchasing, leasing, cash handing procedures and stock control; and lead a small team within your Department.

Ideally the successful candidate shall have significant experience gained at a senior level in a comparative environment within the tourism and hospitality industry, underpinned by relevant financial qualifications. Exposure to commercial leasing would be highly regarded.

Sales & Marketing Manager

Join the team of the Sunshine Coast’s award winning Aussie World family theme park and retail precinct in this key senior role.

Reporting directly to the COO you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales and marketing strategy for our theme park, pub, function and events and retail precinct to ensure we maximise the ROI from our core assets. Leading a passionate, committed sales, brand, digital and events team you will drive a collaborative, integrated approach to supporting core business units achieve their potential through creative, innovative and effective strategy execution. 

You will be a proven commercially focused leader with a track record of developing product and strategy to achieve revenue growth in both the B2C and B2B channels. Analytical by nature and relentless in approach to exceeding KPI's, you will be a confident communicator who thrives in fast paced environments with high level stakeholder management experience.

Ideally the successful candidate shall have significant experience gained at a management level in the tourism, theme park, hospitality or related industries underpinned by relevant sales, marketing or business management qualifications.

Performers/Entertainers 

Our entertainment department is in its early stages of development and is looking to expand with new staff to join our team in this casual roll. We are seeking positive, lively and reliable performers/entertainers to enhance and expand our in park entertainment division.

Entertainment work will include:

  • Character Acting
  • Street Performing
  • Scripted Performances
  • Singing & Dancing
  • Character Suit Work
  • and General duties

Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned professional, we can do training in all aspects of the role for the right people and we have a true family atmosphere for you to join.

  • Must be prepared to work in a team environment using initiative with excellent customer service skills
  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, school holidays and public holidays
  • Flexible working hours ranging from 4 hrs to 30 hrs and can be a supplementary job perfect for university students or a fun second job

Aussie World - Public Area Cleaner
